Healthy Apple Crisp For 1

What dessert is cozy, delicious, healthy, and 100% all yours? This apple crisp!

Yields 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 Gala or Honeycrisp apple, diced into ½ inch cubes

  • 1 teaspoon ghee, optional - you can use water if you'd rather steam the apples to soften them

  • 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon of Maple or Vanilla Extract

  • 1 teaspoon of Honey or Sukrin Syrup

  • Granola of choice. My favorite is from Park Lane Pantry

  • 1 dollop of Coconut Whipped Cream

Directions:

  • In a skillet over medium heat saute the apples in ghee until slightly softened. Alternatively, you can add a tsp of water and place a lid on top of the skillet to allow the apples to steam until they're soft.

  • Add the cinnamon, maple extract, and honey. Stir to combine. Continue to cook until the apples are golden brown and the syrupy mixture begins to thicken.

  • Take the apples off the heat, place in a mug or ramekin, and top with your granola of choice for some crunch and a dollop of coconut whipped cream. Enjoy!
